Tea Ceremony by Molton Brown is such a unique, grounding scent — soft sweetness from nashi pear melts into a clean matcha and green tea heart, then dries down into a warm, slightly smoky hinoki wood. As a beauty blogger, I’d say it’s effortlessly chic and very “quiet luxury” — not loud, but incredibly elegant and comforting. It wears close to the skin, making it perfect for everyday or when you want to smell expensive without trying too hard. If you love fresh, minimal, spa-like fragrances with a woody twist — this is a yes.

Other companies have made fragrances with tea in the name,but they tend towards the sweeter side of fresh. This is amazing. Not sweet but fresh. Complex but with a distinct personality. I put some on this morning and several hours later the fragrance kept returning but slightly differently. That in itself is fairly astonishing. To be honest I am very impressed with many of the Molton Brown fragrances. I’m a new convert and I’ve already bought a fragrance based on a free sample.

Bought the shower gel with the travel EDP set to try this out, and I immediately fell in love with the scent. It is green, bright, and earthy. I thought the pear would make this smell sweet, but it doesn't. It instead adds brightness and green freshness to the scent profile. Overall, it evokes the sense of being in a verdant outdoors on a bright, spring sunny day, which has a very nice calming and grounding effect. I've never smelled anything like it. Using the shower gel is so nice because it makes me feel like I am communing with nature. This is not a nuclear or overwhelming scent. It is subtle and more of a skin scent, which is fine by me given the pleasantness of the scent. Loved it enough and bought myself a full bottle.

It feels like you're sitting on the chair, looking at the window, seeing the nature outside, and you smell the fresh air that comes through your window frame, while you’re drinking a tea, with a bit of lemon in it. It smells refreshing, I think this fragrance is ideal for the summer season - especially if you want to smell fresh and clean, just like after the shower. I would personally say that this fragrance will fit both men and women, it gives a very unisex scent to me. This scent will accompany you for daily wear, and the fragrance itself is very well blended. It's not cloying, not annoying, very pleasant, nature-like fragrance.

Whilst I feel it is an enjoyable spring time fragrance unfortunately it appears there is something in it that set my hay fever off as I couldn't stop sneezing! Probably just my weird system as the fragrance itself smells lovely. Very fresh and lasts a decent amount of time. I would say more suited to a daytime scent rather than an evening one as it smells more subtle after the first half hour. Feel very appreciative that I was able to try it but sadly due to the sneezing issue I am probably not likely to purchase this one and took a star off but again this reaction is probably just me and my complexities, most people are probably not going to have that reaction.

I am a big fan of the vibrancy of the pear when you first spray it, but I really appreciate the complexity as it settles into the earthy matcha and green tea. It stays subtle throughout the day and never feels too heavy, though the longevity is still great, I can still catch those woody Hinoki notes hours later. It’s the perfect scent for when you just want to feel relaxed and grounded.
