I discovered Grandiose Extreme when I bought it as part of a holiday gift package. I loved the curve of the wand as it made it very easy to apply. Lashes were long, thick and beautifully curled. Sadly, the last two tubes have been defective. There's a little plastic ring on the top that has come loose causing the mascara to thickly coat the brush and make it impossible to use. The first time the ring got stuck in the wand. Today I luckily noticed the ring was coming loose so was able to super glue it back on. Some other recent reviews seem to indicate that this is a recurring problem that should be recalled by Lancome.

I've been using Lancome since I was 15 years old. I haven't found a better mascara! I also use Lancome cils booster XL. It is a must even if you're using a Different mascara products.

After MANY years of trying various waterproof mascaras (affordable & not-so-affordable), this product is a long awaited blessing! READ the directions about how to apply and you, too, can rejuvenate your eyes, EVEN if over 40 :). Certainly an option for all ages, yet this lady who struggles w/ eye allergies, dry eye, etc. found a winner w/ this product that doesn't fleck or leave a lower, dark film later in the day. I confess I struggled to use the primer, which I rec'd a free sample of & have tried prior but even love the mascara solo. A swipe or two for a natural look or more dramatic work for luscious eyes and you will not be disappointed!

i absolutely LOVE this product, every time i wear this, i always receive compliments on how long my eyelashes look! this mascara also lasts all day without running or making me look like a raccoon

I truly like this mascara, especially the Bois de Rose color. It’s difficult to find a shade that doesn’t look harsh against my 50-something fair complexion, and this shade is wonderful. However, the last three tubes I have purchased have failed before the product was half used. The rubber scraper ring at the top of the tube detaches and becomes lodged in the cap and cannot be removed. Without the scraper, the brush becomes hopelessly coated in mascara goop, rendering the whole tube useless. Very disappointing at Lancôme prices. I will not be ordering any more.

Okay so I'm a bit of a mascara snob. I don't mind paying a lot but I also expect a lot. I love YSL Faux Effacils and ChanelVolume de Effects. Even Guerlain Cils D'Enefer is fantastic. After reading numerous great reviews of Lancome's Grandiose I decided to givie it a try. WOW. GRANDIOSE OUT PERFORMED ALL of my favorites!! No fallout. Great separation! My lashes are long and full and actually look like I am wearing extensions! The shape of the wand does give you a lot of control. This product is a must try! It is my number one pick of all mascaras out there. Lashes remain soft and supple. The formula does not seem overly harsh on my lashes either.

Even though I have been a loyal Lancome user for 15 years, I have never written a review. This product is so amazing it made me WANT to come online and write a review! I have been using other Lancome mascaras for years, and I bought this one to try simply because I had run out of a different one. I don't know if it's just the mascara itself or the combination with the primer, but I didn't realize until now just how amazing my eyelashes could be! This mascara looks even better than when I get fake eyelashes put on. I have never had so many compliments before. I hope Lancome doesn't discontinue this product, as seems to be my luck whenever I find a Lancome product I love. HIGHLY recommend this - it also doesn't' seem to smudge easily.

I have had the same problems as CANDYC and Yen Yen. This is my third time purchasing the mascara, each time there is a different problem. The first time it clumped up horribly, the second time the neck broke off and the mascara was all over the wand, you couldn’t even wipe it off; and now this is the third time! It is definitely not water resistant, water proof, or smudge proof! I went to a very important event, and I didn’t see until after the event was over when I went to the ladies room that all the mascara was under my eyes. Not just little flecks, but all of it! I was mortified! I’ve never had such terrible problems with expensive make up before.
