Super BB Clair BB & CC Cream (40ml)

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I absolutely love this product. When I first purchased it, I was not sure if it will fit in with what I was looking for - got a small size to try and since then I was hooked. I use the Super BB cream instead of foundation - it’s much lighter but with impressive coverage, it gives the skin a healthy glow as well. If I’m doing my regular make up, I use the Erborian CC cream as a ‘primer’/ base, then the Super BB and I seal my make up with a setting spray. This way it lasts all day, it has great coverage but it doesn’t go cakey or weird as regular foundation does. If I do not use a setting spray, the Super BB doesn’t hold as long on the face, but since it is a BB cream, you do want it to be light and it gives the product extra versatility - as a lighter coverage on days on lighter make up days, or with a setting spray to replace my foundation.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve tried soooo many concealers from various brands and hand on heart, this one wins the prize. I used way too much at first (being used to needing a lot of product with the other brands), but I quickly realised I only need a tiny amount. I use my fingers to apply it to my face and for me, just need it around my nose and upper cheeks. It doesn’t settle into pores (which I loathe) and gives a fantastic even finish. I then use the CC cream to complete the coverage. This really works on top of the more matt effect concealer as it acts as though it’s my real skin base (which is pretty red with hideous spider veins). I can’t recommend it enough to be honest.

How have I managed to live without this product until now? I use the CC cream but wanted something a bit heavier for the colder months. I am fortunate to have relatively good (fair) skin with light freckles and the occasional spot. I have a really oily t-zone however so avoid most cream formulations there and use a powder product. Not any more! This goes on so smoothly, covers the imperfections and makes my face feel and look like velvet. I caught a glimpse of my face in the mirror the other day and was quite shocked - it honestly looked airbrushed. I can’t imagine using anything else ever again. Perfect product.

This actually cleared up my skin and I think helped to keep it clearer. I did end up getting a pimple here and there a couple of weeks in, but they were not as bad. The only issue is -- I wish I had started applying it only once a day before going up to twice a day, because at one point my skin started peeling off and I am still (about a month in) experiencing pretty dry skin. I should mention I am using this alongside the CC anti-blemish cream, so that might be why. Also, I'd describe my skin as light (not fair, my hair is very dark) and I got the lightest shade as the website suggested -- it was a good call, it's still slightly darker than my natural skin tone, but not too noticeably.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased the super BB cream after using the CC cream and wanting a bit more coverage and staying power (I have oily skin). I really like the coverage of this BB, applies really nicely with a brush and isn’t so full that I look like a clown! Dries a nice velvet semi-matte which I love because I’m finding that matte finish products stick to my dry patches and emphasise fine lines, which this doesn’t at all. I would say that shade Claire is a bit too light for me (doesn’t seem to match my skin as well as the CC cream in the same shade) and doesn’t have great staying power on my oily skin unfortunately. As such I’ll be using a bit of bronzer and am trying to find a good primer to keep on top of the shiny-ness!

I was sent a sample of this from an ad on Instagram and I didn’t expect it to be very good as I never thought a bb cream would provide enough coverage but this product is fantastic. I don’t need to apply concealer to small spots or any old spot marks. It controls my oily t zone so I just have a nice glow rather than flat Matt. The only thing I’d say that’s not great a the colour range. I went for Claire but for spring summer I’d need something a bit warmer but Dore looks very orange! I feel like after years and years of searching I’ve finally found my go to base!
