Very pleasant scent. I love it.
An excellent product, of great quality and durability, with a very pleasant scent and very good projection. I recommend it.

Sadness and Betrayal
I love this fragrance. It's been my signature for almost over a decade. I am so, SO dissapointed that L'Oréal has cancelled the entire men's line while Angel and Alien continue to get utterly-forgettable, mediocre flankers NOBODY wants at a rapid pace.

Love, but disappointed.
Let me start with I LOVE most of Thierry Mugler's parfum and cologne. That said, I ordered A*MEN original for my husband this last Christmas. It smells incredible...however it lasts for about a half an hour. Completely different from all others that my husband and I have. At first we thought it might be just the awkward rubber flask, which doesn't allow much cologne to come out in one spray, but that's not it. It just disappears so quickly, unlike his Amen Malt. I don't like incredibly strong scents, but I do like to be able to catch a whiff of it when he walks by. To smell this one, you literally have to put your nose up to the skin, and it's faint at that.

A Quintessential Addition to any Man's Fragrance Collection!
Let me start by saying... This isn't your average men's fragrance. This demands attention, it requires contemplation, it craves understanding. I was fortunate enough to have tried this pre-reformulation, and this flask from the 2022 batch I received today, definitely doesn't change much from the original, it's an honorable men's rendition of the gourmand that started it all. This is something you either love or hate, much like the feminine counterpart, Angel, I fell in love with this polarizing scent. No, the atomizer hasn't changed, it's still that awkward push button, but hey... It's what inside that matters right?
From the very start, you get an absolute nose full, of mint, coriander, and an abundance of spiced candies. The soft floral smell of lavender, intertwines with the bergamot and green notes here quite well from the get go, it adds a soft facet, and tones down the lush intense whirlwind of spicy/fruity notes thrown at you. The opening is something that will either make you wrinkle your face, or raise an eyebrow in confusion. Like Angel, it rushes into your head, and grabs ALL of your attention. The spiced/fruit notes here is something I noticed more significantly in this more recent batch, as I remember more coffee/patchouli in the opening with the old formula.
As we start to dry-down, patchouli, and a sweet cornucopia of floral/aromatic/gourmand notes begin to take hold. Milk, honey, and caramel, swirl around each other into a creamy, thick, mixture, subdued only by the bright sweet floral atmosphere from the lily of the valley, and Jasmine. Deep, masculine, almost bitter smelling roasted coffee beans; and luscious, inviting, Tonka bean, begins to seep through now, instilling a dark seductive nature atop the bewitching sweet flowery spices.
After 2-3hrs, and the scent is fully in its dry-down. The warm, awakening smell of amber woods and benzoin, swap intermittently with the sugary slightly-powdery vanilla and coffee. Adding an almost "cappuccino" vibe to the base notes. Definitely more people will like the collage of heart and base notes, it's more consistent, but in my opinion, the song and dance of the top and heart notes is much more intriguing.
This frag is a performance demon, two sprays, and it lasted for more than 7hrs straight on my skin, and my clothes are still RICH in the scent. Definitely recommend this for colder temps (which works great for me, winter in Alaska is very cold), or for the evening.
As I stated in my opening, you either HATE this frag, or love it. It has so many different facets to dive into, if you dare jump. This is simply a masterpiece of fragrance, in a simple little rubber flask.
